C121D (Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor Abnormality) is a common internal hardware failure in the Outlander ZG/ZH series. The pressure sensor is built inside the hydraulic block and cannot be replaced separately. Replacing the entire 4670A457 modulator is the only way to fix this fault and restore your emergency braking assistance.
The Active Stability Control (ASC) system relies on the ABS module (4670A457) for data. When the module fails (common with C121D codes), the car automatically disables the stability control for safety. Replacing the modulator assembly clears the fault and reactivates the ASC system.
This unit fits the 2.4L and 3.0L ZG/ZH Outlander models. While it is a direct fit for most Australian Outlanders of this era, we recommend checking the white sticker on your current pump to ensure it matches 4670A457 to guarantee all electronic features (like Hill Start Assist) function correctly.
